Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Clearwater, FL
About the Role
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will design and optimize manufacturing processes, production layouts, and assembly procedures to improve efficiency, quality, and scalability. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure products are manufactured to the highest standards while meeting regulatory and performance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, equipment installation, and material handling.
Create efficient plant layouts and workflows to maximize productivity and minimize waste.
Define and document production sequences, procedures, and work instructions for fabrication and assembly processes.
Adapt product and equipment designs to align with manufacturing capabilities and production environments.
Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into production plans to ensure consistent product quality.
Evaluate performance of machinery, tools, and equipment; identify issues and implement corrective actions.
Develop and apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to maintain process stability and quality.
Collaborate with design engineering teams to provide input on manufacturability, cost optimization, and process improvements.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field) or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in manufacturing process development, production engineering, or related roles.
Understanding of assembly processes and mechanical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with circuit card assemblies (CCA) or electronic hardware manufacturing.
Familiarity with mechanical assembly processes and production line setup.
Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) and electronics manufacturing processes.
Experience with process optimization methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
