About the Role
Join a healthtech team building conversational AI agents for clinical trial recruitment and participant support. You will own the development of a patient-facing agent, helping make trial recruitment more efficient while building for safety in a regulated healthcare environment.
What You'll Do
Orchestrate AI agents that coordinate recruitment across multiple clinical trials.
Review production conversations, identify challenging scenarios, turn them into evaluations, and improve the agent harness.
Integrate health profile data sources to support timely outreach and patient qualification.
Develop consistent, personalized agent experiences across voice, SMS, and email.
Evaluate new agent research and tooling and incorporate suitable approaches into the software platform.
What We're Looking For
0 to 4 years of experience as a software engineer, agent engineer, or applied AI engineer.
Substantial experience building conversational agents and agent harnesses for real-world use at scale, beyond prototypes or internal tools.
Experience developing evaluation and tracing infrastructure for AI agents.
Strong software engineering fundamentals and an undergraduate degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related field.
Familiarity with conversational AI, LLMs, agent orchestration, LangGraph, Vercel AI SDK, voice AI, SMS APIs, and healthcare data integrations.
Healthtech experience or interest is valued, as is experience building consumer-facing AI products.
Must be able to work on-site in the San Francisco Bay Area, start within four weeks, and work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $150,000 to $220,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
