Job Description

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today, SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of making life multiplanetary and expanding consciousness to the stars.

SpaceXSI is building Super Intelligence to understand the universe and help expand humanity’s knowledge and capabilities. We work across the full Super Intelligence stack: compute (Colossus supercomputers), models (Grok), and applications (Grok Bot, Grok Build, Grok Imagine, Grok Voice, and X). We're creating a powerful flywheel where more compute trains better models, better models power more useful products, and what we learn from people using those products shapes what we build next.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Inventory Specialist supporting SpaceXAI data center operations, you will be responsible for the accurate receipt, storage, issuance, kitting, and control of high-value materials and equipment (servers, GPUs, networking gear, power and cooling components, spare parts, and other critical infrastructure). You will maintain inventory accuracy, support just-in-time material flow to construction and operations teams, and help ensure the site can scale rapidly while meeting safety and quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive, store, and issue raw material, parts, details, and hardware to support data center construction, commissioning, and operations
  • Store parts and materials in designated locations (bins, racks, VLMs, or staging areas), accurately identifying parts and locations
  • Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with procedures, especially for high-value or sensitive equipment
  • Perform picking and kitting functions to assemble necessary kits of parts, material, and hardware; verify all items are available and accounted for
  • Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantities, and revisions
  • Issue material against approved paperwork, including affixing verification and maintaining lot/serial traceability as required
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain high inventory accuracy
  • Abide by all procedures, work instructions, and standard operating documents
  • Manage schedule priorities and independently execute work to meet site deliverables
  • Perform good housekeeping in inventory and staging areas
  • Support material flow, including staging and just-in-time delivery to internal customers

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 1+ years of inventory control experience

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse or distribution environment
  • Experience and understanding of inventory, kitting, and material handling processes
  • Experience operating a forklift and other inventory/material handling equipment
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Experience in aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, electronics, technology, or data center environments
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, procedures, and parts lists
  • ERP/WMS system experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics or supply chain management (preferred)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs. unassisted; frequent lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying required
  • Must be available for one of the following 12.5-hour shifts: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM or 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Work schedule follows a rotating pattern of 4 days on / 3 days off, then 3 days on / 4 days off (and repeating)
  • Must be open to working all required shift hours, including nights, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed to support 24/7 operations
  • Comfortable working in warehouse/data center environments with varying temperatures and noise
