Cloud Engineer | Fort Meade, MD, United States | Hybrid

This employer is looking for a motivated Cloud Engineer to join their team and contribute to complex cloud systems development. They are known for their work in advanced technology solutions and are seeking individuals passionate about building and maintaining cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.

The Role

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance complex cloud systems based on documented requirements.
  • Provide cloud software development and engineering services including analysis, design, development, testing, and problem resolution.
  • Work on software development programs utilizing AWS SDKs, Kubernetes Client Libraries, and other cloud technologies.
  • Design and develop robust infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes.
  • Automate routine tasks through scripting and appropriate tools.
  • Perform validation and verification testing, document development phases, and monitor system performance.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development/engineering of similar scope and complexity.
  • Proven experience with cloud-related technologies and software development.
  • Proficiency in Python, container technologies (e.g., Docker), and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps principles.
  • Hold or be able to obtain relevant AWS or Kubernetes certifications within six months of hire.
  • Must possess a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
