Position Overview:
The LVN Staff Development Coordinator is responsible for evaluating and implementing the Jewish Home's education and quality improvement program in accordance with the mission and strategic goals of the Home, federal and state laws and regulations, and accreditation standards.
Essential Functions

Coordinate and deliver staff education, orientation, and compliance training programs to meet regulatory and organizational standards.

Develop and maintain training documentation in accordance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements.

Provide hands-on clinical instruction and annual competency assessments for nursing staff and CNAs.

Support employee health initiatives and design training to meet resident needs and staff capabilities.

Collaborate with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to identify quality issues, implement action plans, and drive continuous improvement.

Conduct required in-service and certification programs to ensure ongoing staff competency and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Current California RN or LVN license

Valid CPR certification
-
One year of direct patient care in a long-term care setting plus one year of experience planning educational programs OR

Two years of licensed nurse experience with at least one year in direct patient care in a long-term care setting.

Within six months of employment and prior to teaching, must also complete 24 hours of continuing education in educational program planning, implementation, and evaluation from an accredited or approved source

One (1) year of instructor experience preferred

Preferred knowledge in:

Other Skills/Abilities:

Strong communication skills with residents, families, staff, and all levels of the organization

Proficiency with computers and basic software applications
Pay Range: $43.00 - $49.00, DOE
