Job Description
We are looking for an experienced 10+ Data Engineer with strong Python expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, SQL, cloud/data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and working with large datasets.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows using Python.
  • Develop efficient data ingestion, transformation, validation, and processing solutions.
  • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
  • Develop and optimize batch and real-time data processing workflows.
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and improve performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, Application Developers, and Business teams.
  • Implement data quality checks, error handling, and monitoring.
  • Participate in data modeling, schema design, and database optimization.
  • Follow best practices for coding, testing, documentation, and deployment.
  • Support cloud-based data engineering and integration initiatives.
Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with Python
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Experience developing ETL/ELT data pipelines
  • Experience with relational and/or cloud databases
  • Experience with data processing frameworks such as PySpark/Spark
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data modeling concepts
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD processes
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Irvine, CA
Preferred Skills
  • Apache Spark / PySpark
  • Airflow
  • Snowflake
  • AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, and Redshift
  • Azure Data Factory / Azure Databricks
  • Kafka or other streaming technologies
  • Docker/Kubernetes
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
