Network Engineer II / Network Infrastructure / Onsite / Danbury, CT & Putnam County
Our client is a large enterprise organization is undergoing a significant technology transformation. Based out of the Danbury, CT and Putnam County area, they are looking to hire a Network Engineer II on a full-time permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Network Engineer who wants to participate in a major, multi-year infrastructure transformation. You'll work across multiple locations supporting network implementation, upgrades and ongoing operations while gaining exposure to a large-scale enterprise environment. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, working directly with infrastructure, and seeing the impact of their work across multiple facilities.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on enterprise network engineering experience
• Routing and switching
• Wireless networking technologies
• Network infrastructure troubleshooting
• Network implementation and operational support
• CCNA with direct network operations experience
• Ability to support infrastructure across multiple physical locations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week
• Ability to periodically travel throughout the region, including possible overnight travel

• Healthcare or hospital network experience
• Large-scale infrastructure migration or conversion experience
• Enterprise network upgrade experience
• Multi-site network support
• Cisco networking experience
• Network documentation and ticketing experience

Daily Responsibilities

• Support the stability and integrity of enterprise data, video and wireless network services
• Participate in network infrastructure implementation and support
• Troubleshoot network infrastructure issues across multiple locations
• Implement network modifications and approved changes
• Support scheduled network upgrades and enhancements
• Assist with implementation of infrastructure projects
• Monitor, maintain and optimize network infrastructure and communication links
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams and other technical groups
• Maintain network documentation and support information
• Travel periodically between supported facilities
