HR Generalist

Our client, a manufacturing organization specializing in aluminum extrusion, is seeking a dedicated HR Generalist to join their team. As an HR Generalist, you will be an integral part of the Human Resources department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: HR Generalist

Location: Lafayette, IN

Pay Range: $25

Shift: Days (40 hours)

What's the Job?

• Providing administrative support for manufacturing and HR functions, including scheduling interviews and meetings
• Maintaining employee personnel files and inputting data into HR systems such as PeopleSoft and OAS
• Monitoring attendance, FMLA, sick leaves, and resolving payroll issues
• Assisting with grievance investigations, benefit issues, and departmental scheduling
• Supporting compliance with employment laws and bargaining unit agreements

What's Needed?

• Ability to work in a plant environment and handle sensitive information appropriately
• Experience with MS Office tools, Outlook, and HR systems like PeopleSoft and Oracle
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Familiarity with bargaining unit contracts and employment law compliance
• Background check and client credential package required
