Job Description

R-00192903 Description See the opportunity early. Shape it. Position Leidos to win. Leidos Intelligence Sector is seeking an accomplished Senior Business Development Professional to drive growth with MPO, one of our largest and most strategically important Intelligence Community customers. This is an opportunity to join an organization on a double-digit growth trajectory and help advance a market that is a major pillar of Leidos' corporate growth strategy.

We are looking for a proven growth professional who understands the mission, recognizes demand before it becomes an RFP, builds trusted relationships, and knows how to turn customer insight into qualified opportunities and wins. You will operate at the intersection of mission, customer and technology - working across Growth, Operations and Technology to understand emerging mission challenges, connect them with differentiated Leidos capabilities, and shape opportunities well before formal acquisition.

This is proactive, mission-centric business development: helping determine where we should play, where we can make a difference, and how we position to win.

What You'll Do Build and shape the pipeline. Identify emerging mission needs, customer priorities, acquisition activity and new sources of demand; develop and qualify a strong pipeline of strategic growth opportunities. Get ahead of the opportunity. Build trusted relationships across MPO mission, technical and acquisition communities to understand priorities, requirements, budgets and acquisition strategies before they become solicitations. Shape to win.

Translate customer and market insight into early win strategies, competitive positioning, teaming approaches, differentiators and investment priorities. Connect mission and technology. Work with mission and technical leaders to connect customer challenges with Leidos services, technologies, products, partners and investments—and identify where new solutions or capabilities can create advantage. Drive disciplined growth execution. Own opportunity development and qualification through transition to Capture, then remain engaged throughout the pursuit with customer and market insight.

Mobilize the enterprise. Bring together Growth, Operations, Technology and executive leadership—and build strategic industry partnerships—to put the best of Leidos against the opportunity. Raise the game. Mentor developing growth professionals and help advance a more proactive, mission-centric and disciplined approach to growth. What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 13+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, shaping and developing business within the U.S. Intelligence Community.
  • Strong GovCon business development tradecraft and understanding of Federal acquisition, contracting and procurement.
  • Current and meaningful relationships across the Intelligence Community and relevant industry ecosystem.
  • Ability to translate mission challenges and customer needs into actionable growth strategies and opportunities.
  • Strong strategic judgment and the ability to influence technical, operational and executive stakeholders across a large organization.
  • Exceptional executive-level communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of MPO missions, organizations, priorities and acquisition environment.
  • Demonstrated success shaping major opportunities before formal solicitation.
  • Experience across cyber, analytics, mission software, digital modernization or related intelligence mission areas.
  • Current polygraph or ability to obtain one. If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling. At Leidos, we outthink, outbuild, and outpace the status quo — because the mission demands it. We're not hiring followers. We're recruiting the ones who disrupt, provoke, and refuse to fail. Step 10 is ancient history. We're already at step 30 — and moving faster than anyone else dares.
