Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong domain knowledge in Logistics, Warehouse Management, Supply Chain, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS). The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, operations teams, technology teams, and vendors to understand business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business and operations stakeholders to understand warehouse, logistics, inventory, distribution, and supply-chain processes.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for WMS and supply-chain applications.
- Analyze end-to-end warehouse processes including receiving, put-away, inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, transfers, returns, and cycle counting.
- Translate operational requirements into BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Perform current-state/future-state analysis and identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Work closely with technology teams on WMS, ERP, transportation, inventory, order-management, and system integration initiatives.
- Support requirements related to warehouse automation, RF/barcode scanning, inventory visibility, and fulfillment processes.
- Participate in solution design, data analysis, system testing, UAT, defect management, and implementation.
- Work with cross-functional teams across Supply Chain, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, IT, Procurement, Inventory, and Transportation.
- Analyze production issues, determine root causes, and coordinate with technical teams on resolution.
- Develop process maps, workflows, data flows, and business documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and supply-chain performance.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within logistics, supply chain, warehouse management, manufacturing, retail, or distribution environments.
- Strong understanding of Warehouse Management and Supply Chain processes.
- Hands-on experience working with WMS platforms and warehouse-related applications.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, order fulfillment, inbound/outbound logistics, and warehouse operations.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Strong experience creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional specifications, and requirements traceability.
- Experience working with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience supporting system testing, UAT, implementation, and production support.
- Ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
