Quick Overview
Job Description
We are SMRS. A global brand, culture and communications business that believes opportunity should be open to all.
We open doors. For people, for ideas and for organisations ready to change for the better. We think bigger to challenge assumptions and explore new ideas. We give a damn about the work we do and the impact it makes. And we add colour to every project with our personalities and our collective thinking.
We’re also committed to creating a positive impact. From sustainability to social purpose, you’ll be part of a company that values diversity, champions inclusion and supports the world we’re helping to shape.
The role combines research delivery with the chance to influence how insight is delivered across the business. You’ll design studies, explore data, interpret findings and quality assure outputs, while also helping us improve our research approaches and identify practical ways to use technology, AI and automation to work smarter.
This role would suit an experienced research professional who is comfortable working hands-on, adapting quickly and helping strengthen how insight is delivered at SMRS. You’ll bring strong qualitative and quantitative expertise, confidence in research design, and a clear commitment to rigorous, useful, evidence-based outputs.
While this is a standalone insight role, you won’t be working in isolation. You’ll be part of a collaborative wider team, supported by an established network of research associates and specialist partners. A key part of the role will be briefing and guiding that network, quality assuring outputs and ensuring clients receive consistently excellent work.
We’re looking for someone who combines methodological rigour with commercial awareness: someone who can advise on the right approach, challenge assumptions, and support colleagues and clients to get more value from insight.
If you’re a researcher who enjoys turning evidence into action, collaborating with specialist partners and contributing to complex client challenges, we’d love to hear from you.
In return, you’ll be joining a flexible, supportive and values-led business where you’ll have the space to do thoughtful work and collaborate with talented. We offer hybrid working, a positive and inclusive culture, and the chance to contribute to work with real purpose and impact. Salary between £42,000 and £46,000, depending on experience.
