Systems Engineer SEIT Lead

WHO WE ARE:
Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity for a Systems Engineering Integration and Test (SEIT) Lead for operational systems within the Ground Cyber Electronic Warfare portfolio. The successful candidate will be an engineering leader to oversee operations and maintenance for complex software-defined RF system installations in OCONCONUS locations. Ability to travel to OCONUS locations several times throughout the year is desired for this position.

THE WORK:
The SEIT Lead would maintain and enhance the engineering baseline, develop testing strategies for upgrades, and oversee the change management process including chairing engineering review boards. The candidate must develop a deep technical knowledge of all aspects of the system architecture in order to identify change impacts due to obsolescence as well as guide paths to expanded capabilities for growth opportunities. As a technical leader, the candidate will be a primary subject matter expert of the system, comfortable with leading technical discussions across internal engineering disciplines, internal senior leadership, and external customers.

A Senior Staff Systems Engineering Integration and Test Lead to join our team.

The candidate would collaborate with the chief engineer, logistics project manager, and the engineering disciplines to ensure system operational availability, oversee integration of system upgrades, and transfer knowledge to trainers to equip government operators and maintainers.

Basic Qualifications

BS in Engineering STEM field
9 years of professional experience OR 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
Security Clearance required Prior to Start: Top Secret
Experience in systems engineering and change management
Ability to travel to OCONUS locations

Desired skills

Experience in one or several of the disciplines below:
Systems engineering, change management, and requirements management
Excellence in communication and collaboration skills
RF and antenna systems
Software defined radio and signal processing
Cloud-based infrastructure including virtualized and containerized environments
Hardware engineering including development and maintenance of drawings and bill of materials
Software engineering including full stack DevSecOps and experience with integration of complex software systems
Cyber security systems architecture
Sustainment engineering and training
Reliability Maintainability and Availability engineering
Mission planning and command and control

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $147,700 - $255,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
