Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior EDB PostgreSQL / Kubernetes Engineer with strong hands-on experience managing PostgreSQL/EDB database environments and Kubernetes platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of EDB/PostgreSQL database administration, Kubernetes, high availability, replication, performance tuning, and containerized database environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, administer, configure, and support EDB/PostgreSQL database environments.
  • Deploy and manage PostgreSQL databases within Kubernetes/containerized environments.
  • Configure and maintain PostgreSQL high-availability and replication solutions.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform performance tuning.
  • Manage database upgrades, patching, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
  • Support PostgreSQL clusters running on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms.
  • Work with Kubernetes operators and related technologies for database deployment and management.
  • Automate database administration and infrastructure tasks using scripting and DevOps tools.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, application, and DevOps teams to resolve production issues.
  • Maintain database security, availability, scalability, and operational reliability.
Required Skills
  • Strong hands-on experience with EDB / EnterpriseDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes / K8s.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL database administration and engineering.
  • Strong understanding of PostgreSQL HA, replication, backup, and recovery.
  • Experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
  • Experience with Docker/containerized environments.
  • Experience supporting production database platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
