Job Description

Role Summary
This position involves supporting the installation and maintenance of hardware within high-performance, GPU-dense data centers. The role is focused on physical tasks such as rack, stack, and cable management of servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems. It requires a detail-oriented approach to hardware deployment and troubleshooting in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rack, stack, and cable installation of servers, storage, networking, and GPU systems in data centers.
  • Install rails, mount equipment, label assets, and ensure proper airflow and cable management.
  • Connect and verify power, fiber, and copper network cabling according to data center standards.
  • Support hardware moves, additions, and changes (MACs) across data center floors.
  • Follow detailed deployment runbooks and engineering documentation.
  • Conduct basic hardware validation, LED/port checks, and physical troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Maintain accurate asset tracking, asset labeling, and documentation within internal systems.
  • Collaborate with data center engineers and network teams during deployments and migrations.
  • Adhere to ESD, safety, and security protocols during hardware handling and installations.
  • Support decommissioning and removal of end-of-life hardware components.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on data center experience performing rack and stack operations.
  • Strong understanding of server and network rack layouts.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling, including fiber and copper connections.
  • Experience working with power distribution units (PDUs).
  • Proficiency in installing enterprise servers, such as Dell, HPE, Supermicro, or equivalent brands.
  • Ability to interpret rack elevation diagrams and deployment instructions.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working within confined rack environments.
  • Familiarity with ESD procedures and safe handling of sensitive hardware.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
  • Availability to work on-site in a fast-paced, technical environment.

Publishing Pay Range: $40.00 - $42.64 hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
