We are delighted to partner with a thriving secondary school in Dorking, Surrey, in their search for a dynamic and passionate MFL (Modern Foreign Languages) Teacher. This full-time, permanent position commences in September and offers an exciting opportunity to inspire young minds and foster a love for languages and cultures.
Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and comprehensive language instruction to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a vital role in developing students' linguistic proficiency, cultural awareness, and appreciation for the richness and diversity of the languages you teach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver stimulating lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their language acquisition.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and celebrates student achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the MFL department to enhance the overall language program and contribute to extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Modern Languages or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching MFL at the secondary level.
- Fluency in the target language(s) you will be teaching.
- A strong understanding of language pedagogy and current teaching methodologies.
