Network Engineer

Our client is seeking a hands-on Network Engineer to support and maintain a hybrid network infrastructure spanning on-premises environments, SD-WAN, and AWS. This role offers the opportunity to work with Cisco networking technologies, Meraki, cloud connectivity, and network security while helping ensure reliable performance across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting skills, practical network engineering experience, and the ability to support infrastructure improvements and ongoing operations.

• Location: Richardson, TX (Hybrid 3 days per week)
• Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $45-53/hr plus benefits

What You ll Do:

• Deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot SD-WAN infrastructure, including Cato Networks, to support reliable network connectivity.
• Configure and maintain Cisco firewalls, routers, and switches, along with Meraki networking components, including wireless and security appliances.
• Design, implement, and support AWS networking environments, including VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, Transit Gateway, and Direct Connect.
• Manage hybrid connectivity between on-premises infrastructure, SD-WAN, and AWS while troubleshooting performance, security, and connectivity issues.
• Support network migrations, site rollouts, firewall policies, change management, documentation, and incident resolution in collaboration with technical teams.

What Gets You the Job:

• 3 5 years of hands-on network engineering experience, including Cisco routing, switching, and firewall technologies such as ASA and Firepower/FTD.
• 3+ years of hands-on SD-WAN experience, including deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting. Cato Networks experience is preferred.
• Experience with AWS networking and hybrid cloud connectivity, including VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, VPNs, and Transit Gateway.
• Hands-on experience administering Cisco Meraki networking solutions, including switches, wireless access points, and security appliances.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, VPNs, network security fundamentals, and formal change management processes, with strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
