Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Cybersecurity Assistant to join a engineering business based in Bedford.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in cybersecurity. No previous industry experience is required. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced IT and cybersecurity professionals to help protect the organisation's systems, networks, and data from cyber threats.

The role will provide hands-on experience across cybersecurity, IT support, data protection, and network security within a modern engineering environment. We are looking for an individual with a genuine interest in technology, strong attention to detail, and a desire to learn and develop within a growing field.

KEY DUTIES

  • Assist with monitoring systems and networks for potential security threats and unusual activity.
  • Support the management of security alerts and the escalation of incidents where required.
  • Help maintain cybersecurity software, including antivirus and endpoint protection tools.
  • Assist with user account administration and access control processes.
  • Support the implementation of cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
  • Support network monitoring and troubleshooting activities.
