Description:
We are seeking a Security Architect to provide strategic architecture leadership across enterprise security, application modernization, cloud platforms, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities. This role is responsible for translating business objectives and security requirements into scalable architecture solutions, establishing enterprise standards, and driving secure technology adoption across the organization.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cybersecurity architecture, enterprise application design, cloud security, and governance, with the ability to influence technology strategy while enabling innovation through secure-by-design principles and AI-native development practices.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture & Strategy

• Translate business capabilities, strategic objectives, and security requirements into scalable architecture solutions and technology roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain architecture models, standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and implementation blueprints across business and technology domains.
• Evaluate current and future-state capabilities to support portfolio planning, investment decisions, modernization initiatives, and enterprise transformation efforts.
• Drive enterprise capability integration by identifying opportunities for process, application, and information alignment across the organization.
• Provide architectural guidance and governance to ensure consistency, scalability, maintainability, and compliance with enterprise standards.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to align architecture strategies with organizational goals and priorities.

Security Architecture Leadership

• Lead enterprise security architecture initiatives that advance Zero Trust principles across cloud, hybrid, and AI-enabled environments.
• Design secure architectures for identity and access management, workload protection, API security, sensitive data protection, and operational resilience.
• Translate cybersecurity policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management objectives into practical, implementable security controls and frameworks.
• Define reusable security reference architectures, engineering patterns, guardrails, and automated controls for development teams.
• Conduct threat modeling and security assessments to identify risks, prioritize remediation efforts, and influence architecture decisions.
• Ensure security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC) through proactive governance and design reviews.

AI & Modern Secure Engineering

• Help define and evolve an AI-native Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) that incorporates security, compliance, governance, and quality controls.
• Architect secure agentic AI solutions with appropriate permission models, secure tool access, human oversight, evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and containment mechanisms.
• Establish security standards and governance frameworks for AI-enabled applications, automation platforms, and emerging technologies.
• Evaluate new technologies, tools, methodologies, and architecture approaches to drive innovation while maintaining security and compliance objectives.
• Promote secure engineering practices and support enterprise modernization initiatives through reusable architecture guidance and automation.

Governance & Stakeholder Leadership

• Facilitate architecture reviews, governance forums, and cross-functional decision-making sessions.
• Ensure adherence to architecture standards, policies, and strategic technology direction.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project teams, architects, engineers, and technology stakeholders.
• Communicate architecture strategies, concepts, and recommendations to both technical and executive audiences.
• Drive research and continuous improvement initiatives to mature architecture capabilities across the enterprise.
• Support portfolio planning, prioritization activities, and technology investment decisions through architecture leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 7+ years of experience in architecture, cybersecurity, or a related technical specialization.
• Experience developing enterprise architecture strategies, standards, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of application, data, infrastructure, cloud, and security architecture disciplines.
• Demonstrated experience leading architecture initiatives across large-scale enterprise environments.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.

Required Technical Skills
Cybersecurity

• Expertise in enterprise security architecture, Zero Trust frameworks, identity and access management, data protection, cloud security, application security, and risk management.
• Experience designing security controls and governance models for cloud, hybrid, and AI-enabled environments.
• Strong knowledge of threat modeling, secure design principles, and security architecture best practices.

Application Solutions

• Experience designing scalable, resilient, and secure application architectures.
• Ability to define architecture patterns, engineering standards, and reference implementations that support modernization and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Experience integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle and engineering delivery processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or agentic AI platforms in enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cloud security architectures across public and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Experience developing architecture governance models and enterprise technology standards.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, TOGAF, Azure Security Engineer, AWS Security Specialty, or equivalent.
