Quick overview
Job description
This is a unique opportunity for a founding full-time Engineering faculty member to help build and shape a growing program from the ground up. The successful candidate will play a central role in designing and delivering core undergraduate courses—such as design, physics, statics, dynamics, electronics, materials, and thermodynamics—while driving innovation in curriculum, labs, and student experiences. We are seeking an educator who brings energy, creativity, and a passion for mentoring students, and who is excited to develop a forward-looking program aligned with modern engineering practice and industry needs.
We are especially interested in candidates who are enthusiastic builders—educators who bring fresh ideas, a collaborative spirit, and a desire to create meaningful, hands-on learning experiences for students.

- Advance entrepreneurial-minded learning by inspiring students to think creatively, take initiative, and apply engineering solutions to real-world challenges
- Be an active and present member of the campus community by supporting students outside of the classroom during regularly scheduled office hours and mentor and support students as developing engineers through advising, research opportunities, internships, and experiential learning
Scholarship and Professional Development
- Pursue an active scholarly or creative agenda appropriate to the discipline and share outcomes through publications, presentations, exhibitions, or performances
- Build and maintain a professional portfolio for advancement in rank and tenure
- Participate in campus professional development opportunities
- Maintain awareness of evolving disciplinary standards and best practices through ongoing professional development and engagement with the broader engineering community
Service
- Serve as a key contributor in developing and shaping the program’s curriculum, courses, laboratories, and facilities as part of its ongoing growth and success
- Participate in and contribute to all department meetings, faculty meetings, convocations, and commencements
- Serve on and contribute to academic and/or University-wide committees
