Senior Performance Engineer

Position: Senior Performance Engineer

Location: Orlando, FL (Hybrid-4 days Onsite/week )

Duration: 12 months + extension Possibility

Must have skills:

Responsibilities:

Performance Test Strategy & Execution

•                     Define and implement performance test strategies across critical applications and services.

•                     Design, script, and execute load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests using JMeter (Groovy/Beanshell/Java scripting where needed).

•                     Collaborate with development and architecture teams to define performance SLAs, KPIs, and baselines.

Application & Infrastructure Monitoring:

•                     Configure, monitor, and analyze metrics using AppDynamics, CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, and Splunk.

•                     Perform root cause analysis for performance bottlenecks across application, database, and infrastructure layers.

•                     Create proactive dashboards to ensure production stability and real-time visibility.

Cloud & Platform Engineering:

•            Work hands-on with AWS services (ECS, EKS, EC2, Lambda, DynamoDB, AuroraDB, RDS) to test elasticity, scaling, and failover scenarios.

•            Provide recommendations on autoscaling policies, resource utilization, and capacity planning.

CI/CD & Automation:

•            Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins.

•            Automate test execution, results publishing, and performance regression checks.

Collaboration & Project Delivery:

•            Partner with product owners, developers, SREs, and QE to embed performance engineering into the software delivery lifecycle.

•            Track, manage, and deliver work items through JIRA ensuring transparency and timely reporting.

•            Present findings, recommendations, and improvement strategies to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Coding & Scripting Expectations:

•            Scripting & Test Customization: Groovy, Beanshell, Java (for JMeter extensions).

•            Automation & Data Handling: Python (automation scripts, test data generation, log parsing).

•            Performance Framework Development: Java/Python for reusable load testing frameworks, custom utilities, and API test harnesses.
