Job Description

Location: Fort Worth,Texas
Expected Start Date: Nov 9, 2026
Salary: $95,000 - $110,000
You know that a good report does more than put numbers on a screen. It helps people spot problems, make better decisions, and figure out what needs to happen next. Now imagine having the opportunity to do that while helping a growing manufacturing company modernize the systems behind its business.
Our client is a century-old manufacturing company with a strong track record of stability, long employee tenure, and exciting growth ahead. They manufacture critical infrastructure for industrial buildings, supporting complex facilities and data centers for major companies like across the country. As the business expands, its technology needs to keep pace, and that's where you come in.
They are in the middle of a major transition from Epicor Classic to Epicor Kinetic, and they're looking for an SSRS Report Writer / BI Data Analyst to help make that change successful. You'll build and maintain SSRS reports, develop SQL queries, and create Epicor BAQs and dashboards that help teams across sales, engineering, operations, finance, and manufacturing get the information they need. A big part of the opportunity is helping migrate existing reports, validate the results, and make sure the business can continue relying on its data as the new ERP environment takes shape.
Here's the good news: you don't have to be an Epicor expert to be considered. If you have strong SQL, T-SQL, SSRS, and ERP reporting experience, the team is open to helping you learn Epicor. Leadership values people who are curious, take initiative, and want to keep improving how things work. You'll have room to ask questions, explore solutions, and take an idea beyond the initial request instead of being limited to a checklist of assignments.
The technology team is small, collaborative, and close to the business. You'll interact directly with users and business leaders, so your ability to communicate, understand the real problem behind a reporting request, and explain what the data means will matter just as much as your technical skills. The VP of Technology gives the team freedom to innovate and encourages the use of approved AI tools in day-to-day work. If you're the kind of person who notices an outdated report, an inefficient process, or a better way to get answers from data and actually does something about it, you'll fit right in.
The easiest part of this job:
You'll have a real business purpose behind the reports you build. Your work will help people across the company understand what's happening, make informed decisions, and keep operations moving. You'll also have the opportunity to expand your Epicor knowledge while contributing to a significant system modernization, with a team that supports learning and professional growth.
The hardest part of this job:
This isn't a role where you'll quietly work through report requests without talking to anyone. You'll need to ask questions, dig into the details, validate your results, and work with people who may not know exactly what they need until you help them figure it out. As the company grows, reporting requirements will evolve, and you'll need to be comfortable taking initiative rather than waiting for someone to outline every step. If you enjoy solving problems, improving processes, and seeing your work make a difference, you'll have plenty to keep you engaged.
What's in it for you?
  • Competitive salary of $80,000 - $95,000 annually
  • Great Benefits: Health, dental, vision, STD, LTD, Life, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, legal and identity theft protection, flexible spending account (FSA), health reimbursement account (HRA), 401(k) with employer match, paid vacation, paid sick leave, extended leave, 10 paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, casual dress environment, workers' compensation
  • Hybrid schedule with at least three days per week onsite in the North Fort Worth area
  • The opportunity to play a key role in the company's Epicor Classic-to-Kinetic conversion
  • The chance to build your Epicor skills while putting your existing SQL and reporting expertise to work
  • Exposure to reporting and data across multiple departments and manufacturing locations
  • A collaborative technology team where your ideas and contributions will be visible
  • Direct interaction with business leaders and the opportunity to influence how reporting improves
  • A stable, well-established company with average employee tenure of more than 13 years
  • A growing business investing in technology and expanding to support increasing demand, including data center infrastructure
What you'll be doing:
  • Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports, SQL queries, and Epicor BAQs and dashboards used across departments and manufacturing locations
  • Help migrate existing reports from Epicor Classic to Epicor Kinetic, validating data and results along the way
  • Write and optimize T-SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to deliver accurate, reliable reporting
  • Work with users in sales, engineering, operations, finance, and other departments to understand reporting needs and turn them into practical solutions
  • Investigate data discrepancies, troubleshoot reporting issues, and help maintain data integrity
  • Partner with developers and Infrastructure on database performance, indexing, and controlled data fixes
  • Document reports, data definitions, and business logic so metrics remain consistent and knowledge is shared across the team
  • Support reporting needs for multiple locations
  • Track requests and data issues through Azure DevOps
  • Use approved AI assistants to support SQL development, analysis, and documentation while validating outputs against source data
  • Look for opportunities to automate manual reporting tasks, improve existing reports, and make data easier for the business to use
What you need:
  • At least 4 years of experience in database analysis, business intelligence, or report development
  • Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills, including writing, troubleshooting, and tuning queries
  • Extensive experience developing SSRS reports
  • Experience building reports using ERP data
  • Strong attention to detail and a disciplined approach to validating data and reporting results
  • The ability to gather requirements from nontechnical users and translate business questions into useful reports
  • Clear communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across different departments
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a genuine interest in improving how things work
  • Proficiency using AI assistants daily for SQL, analysis, and documentation within established company policies, including validating results and protecting restricted data
You'll stand out even more if you have:
  • Experience with Epicor Kinetic, Business Activity Queries (BAQs), or Epicor dashboards
  • Experience supporting an ERP migration or modernization project
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for work tracking and source control
  • Manufacturing data experience, particularly production, inventory, costing, or shipping
  • Experience with other BI or data visualization tools
  • Basic C#/.NET or scripting experience to support data automation

If you're looking for a role where you can put your reporting expertise to work, learn new technology, and help a growing company make better use of its data, this is worth a closer look. You'll have meaningful ownership, visibility across the business, and the chance to contribute to a major ERP transformation without needing to arrive as an Epicor expert on day one.
