We're scaling our B2B corporate gifting business and building systems to improve visibility, attract inbound interest, and generate leads across industries.


Job Description

This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager (B2B) role in Hyderabad. The role is focused on closing and key-account growth, taking qualified leads generated by our prospecting and digital teams, following up, understanding requirements, and converting them into confirmed orders.

The ideal candidate is a confident closer who is comfortable owning conversations with senior decision-makers, building trust quickly, negotiating well, and turning interest into committed business. You will work closely with the business development and marketing functions to ensure a smooth handoff from lead to deal, and will grow repeat and expansion business from the accounts you close.

Key Responsibilities

• Own follow-up and conversion of qualified leads passed from the prospecting team, digital campaigns, and inbound channels

• Run discovery conversations to understand each prospect's bulk and corporate gifting requirements

• Present tailored Group Welkin solutions and catalogue options, and prepare clear quotations and proposals

• Negotiate terms and close deals to confirmed orders

• Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers (Procurement, Purchase, HR, Admin, and leadership roles) across priority sectors such as jewellery, pharma, cooperative banking, cement, and construction

• Grow repeat and expansion orders from key accounts

• Maintain accurate pipeline and CRM records, deal stage, next steps, and forecast

• Coordinate with the business development and marketing teams to keep the lead-to-deal handoff smooth and feedback flowing

• Deliver a structured weekly report covering pipeline status, conversions, revenue, and key-account updates


Qualifications

• 3-5 years of B2B sales or business development experience with a clear track record of closing deals

• Experience converting qualified leads and managing key accounts (corporate gifting, FMCG, distribution, or product-based B2B preferred)

• Comfortable with proposals, negotiation, and quotation processes

• Familiar with CRM and pipeline tools (e.g. LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar)

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline preferred


Skills and Requirements

• Strong negotiation and closing ability with a consultative, solution-led approach

• Excellent verbal and written communication and rapport-building with senior decision-makers

• Disciplined pipeline management and reliable follow-up

• Ability to read pipeline and conversion data and act on it

• Organised and self-driven, able to manage deals and reporting without constant supervision

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment

• Office presence is mandatory (Saturday WFH only)


Compensation

CTC: 6- 8 LPA (fixed, based on experience and demonstrated skills). The role also includes performance-linked incentives; the incentive structure will be discussed and finalised with management.

Includes PF & other mandatory deductions. We will issue the offer letter and annexure after the office visit and discussion with management at the head office.

English and Hindi (required); Telugu (preferred)
