ETL Data Analyst

Seeking an experienced ETL Data Analyst / IT Business Analyst with excellent communication skills that can bridge the gap between Operational Data and Business Intelligence by extracting data from source systems, transforming it into a clean and usable format, loading it into a data warehouse, and analyzing it to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Write Functional Design Specs - Draft functional design documents that identify data sources from ERP systems, 3rd party systems, files, or scanned images and how best to map data into data warehouses
• Data Transformation & Cleansing: Format, and standardize data records to ensure consistency and accuracy before analytical reporting.
• Data Mapping & Modeling: Create and maintain source-to-target mapping documents, data dictionaries, and transformation business rules.
• Query Optimization: Write and optimize SQL queries to extract data
• Data Quality & Validation: Monitor datasets for completeness and integrity, performing reconciliation and troubleshooting data discrepancies.
• Reporting & Insights: Build dashboards, generate analytical reports, and present data trends to business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• SQL Proficiency: Proficient SQL skills to write, debug, and optimize SQL queries.
• Data Mapping / ETL Knowledge: Experience with Data Mapping and ETL concepts
• Analytical Thinking: Strong aptitude for data analysis and root-cause investigation
• Documentation: Ability to maintain clear data flow and data mapping specifications.
• Communication: Strong stakeholder-facing skills to capture business requirements and write functional design specification documents
• Prior experience: Prior IT project experience supporting a large enterprise software implementation (ERP) and knowledge of Software Implementation Lifecycle
