Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer x6

Working alongside our client, an established injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join their team on a contract basis.

Remit:

• As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing breakdown cover and maintaining injection moulding machines, automation equipment and associated ancillary equipment.
• You will have strong electrical and mechanical skills, with proven experience in fault finding, problem solving and repairing injection moulding machinery, robots and automated systems.
• This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer with a strong background in injection moulding maintenance.

Role:

• To provide shift breakdown cover on injection moulding machines, automation equipment and ancillary equipment.
• To carry out planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs on injection moulding machines and associated equipment.
• To diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults to minimise machine downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• To maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems across manufacturing equipment.
• To identify and implement improvements to machinery performance, reliability and OEE.
• To ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• To assist with the installation, modification and improvement of machinery and automation equipment as required.

Experience required:

• Time-served Maintenance Engineer with a multi-skilled electrical and mechanical background.
• Proven experience maintaining, fault finding and repairing injection moulding machines within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working with injection moulding machinery, robots, automation systems and associated ancillary equipment.
• Good working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical control systems.
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• A proactive approach to problem solving, reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
