Job Title: Senior Generative AI & Agent Engineer

Location: Detroit, MI (Onsite)

Duration: Long-term contract

Job overview:

Highly experienced, hands-on AI Engineer to build intelligent agents for AFG’s Inspection Automation initiative. The solution will analyze complex documents, extract relevant information, evaluate findings, and generate accurate, explainable scores.

Key Requirements

•  13+years of IT experience required
• Proven experience delivering multiple production-grade AI solutions
• Deep expertise in RAG, LLM-powered chatbots, document extraction, and custom AI agents
• Experience designing document review, scoring, and decision-support workflows
• Strong knowledge of AI deployment, monitoring, security, and governance
• Ability to produce traceable, explainable, and auditable AI outputs
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to train and transfer knowledge to AFG team members

This is a hands-on contract role requiring both strong technical execution and effective collaboration with business and technical stakeholders.

Educational Qualifications:

• Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent.
• Preferred - Master’s degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent.

Travel:

·   Open to travel based up on the nature of the engagement.
