Job description

Sydney | Hybrid Work Model | Competitive base + super + benefits

Great recruitment isn't about filling vacancies. It's about understanding a business, challenging the brief, finding exceptional people and making better hiring decisions. At Orro, that's exactly how we approach talent acquisition. As our Talent Acquisition Manager, you'll help us build a more strategic, commercially focused and technology enabled recruitment function, and take it further.

About Orro

We're an Australian success story, now close to 500 people strong, delivering secure, end to end digital solutions across cloud, collaboration, cyber security, data services and network infrastructure, all backed by over 20 years of experience. Trusted by some of Australia's biggest brands, Orro leads the way in designing, building and operating digital infrastructure that delivers greater efficiency, agility, performance and resilience. Our solutions take the stress out of tech for more than 400 businesses and over 20 million Australians every single day.

Our mission? To create "future now" solutions making it faster, simpler and safer for people to access, store and share information, wherever they are and whoever they're with. But more than that, we know that real impact comes from connecting people, not just machines. That's why we take the time to understand our clients; how they work, what matters to them, and where they're headed so we can deliver not just what they need today, but what they'll need next.

With offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Perth, and teams across New Zealand, the Philippines and the UK, Orro is known for delivering future ready solutions, backed by deep expertise, genuine human insight and lasting partnerships.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll join our People and Culture team, reporting directly to our Head of Talent Acquisition and working three days a week from our Sydney office on Clarence Street. This is a hands on role with genuine breadth across Australia, New Zealand, the Philippines and the UK: one week you could be recruiting senior specialists in cyber security, cloud, networks, AI or advisory, the next working on security cleared government appointments or niche and high volume hiring in Manila. Our talent function was built in house from the ground up, and you'll work with TeamTailor, Testlify, LinkedIn Recruiter and an expanding suite of AI, automation and agent based tools. You don't need a technical recruitment background; technical knowledge can be learnt, while curiosity, commercial thinking and sound recruitment judgement are much harder to teach.

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle, from understanding the brief and building a sourcing strategy through to offer and start
  • Partner with business leaders and hiring managers, challenging requirements where needed and advising on talent availability, market conditions and hiring decisions
  • Build strong relationships across the business, getting to know each team well enough to become a trusted recruitment partner
  • Deliver a seamless, genuine candidate experience, making sure every interaction reflects the Orro brand
  • Use recruitment data and market insight to spot trends, flag challenges and help leaders make better talent decisions
  • Remove friction from our processes, using AI, automation and emerging technology to improve sourcing, screening and assessment
  • Manage multiple priorities and campaigns without losing sight of quality, detail or delivery
What You'll Bring

The Essentials

  • 5 or more years of end to end recruitment experience, in house or agency, including complex, specialist or senior appointments
  • The commercial acumen and credibility to advise senior stakeholders, including C suite leaders, beyond simply filling a vacancy
  • Strong recruitment judgement, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and hold a high bar throughout the hiring process
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to build trust with candidates, hiring managers and colleagues across geographies
  • Daily, hands on use of AI and automation, always looking for practical ways to improve how recruitment works

Bonus Points

  • Experience building your own agents, scripts or automations

Even if you don't tick every box, don't let that hold you back. If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd genuinely love to hear from you.

On top of that, you'll enjoy 3 days of paid volunteer leave each year, novated leasing, employee discounts, and full access to our wellbeing platform packed with expert fitness plans, nutrition tips, and tools to help you feel your best, inside and out.

Note: The role is subject to state and federal police background checks. Applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in Australia. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
