Junior Sales Executive, Financial Services

Our client is a London-based investment manager with a growing range of funds across equities and fixed income. They are building out their UK sales presence and are looking for a motivated junior to join at an early stage.

Role and responsibilities

Sales and business development

1. Research and engage prospective clients across the UK intermediary market, including advisers, wealth managers and discretionary fund managers
2. Build and manage a structured pipeline of relationships
3. Run a consistent outreach programme against clear activity targets (calls, meetings, follow-ups)
4. Support attendance at events, roadshows and industry conferences
5. Contribute to quarterly and annual growth targets

Relationship and platform support

1. Build working relationships with clients and platform contacts
2. Help monitor fund visibility, data quality and listing accuracy across platforms
3. Support efforts to widen access to the funds

Investment communication

1. Learn to present the funds’ investment themes, market outlook and positioning
2. Work with the investment team to keep sales materials current and accurate

Marketing and market intelligence

1. Help coordinate factsheets, presentations and due diligence questionnaires
2. Use market data and industry tools to prioritise sales activity

Compliance

1. Ensure all client communications meet FCA financial promotion rules
2. Keep accurate records of client interactions in line with regulatory requirements

About you

Essential

1. Some experience in a sales, business development, client-facing or relationship management role (financial services experience is not required)
2. Strong communication skills, written and verbal
3. Genuine interest in financial markets and investment
4. Comfortable with targets, structured outreach and building a pipeline

Desirable

1. Degree in a relevant discipline such as finance, economics or business
2. Exposure to financial services, fund management or wealth management
3. Progress towards, or completion of, IMC or an equivalent qualification
