About the Job- We are looking for an experienced Performance Architect to join one of our enterprise client engagements. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in HTTP, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, Web applications, Microservices along with experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments.

 

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Performance Engineering Architect to lead our performance testing strategy and architecture.
  • In this role, you will design comprehensive test plans and strategies for complex, multi-tier enterprise applications.
  • You will bridge the gap between high-level architectural design and hands-on execution.
  • You will ensure our systems are scalable, reliable, and optimized for peak demand.
  • The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in Workload Management (WLM) across diverse technology stacks.
  • You must have a proven track record of mentoring teams and communicating performance insights to stakeholders.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategy & Architecture: Define, architect, and implement the enterprise-wide performance testing strategy, framework, and roadmap.
  • Test Planning: Design detailed performance test plans, workload models, and acceptance criteria based on business requirements and architectural designs.
  • Hands-on Execution: Script, execute, and analyze performance tests using NeoLoad and validate technical payloads.
  • WLM Expertise: Apply advanced Workload Management (WLM) principles to simulate realistic production traffic and optimize resource allocation across different application layers.
  • Observability & Diagnostics: Utilize Dynatrace to perform deep-dive root cause analysis, profiling, and full-stack monitoring (infrastructure, network, code, and database level).
  • Stakeholder Communication: Translate complex technical performance metrics into clear, actionable business insights for executives, product owners, and engineering teams.
  • Team Mentorship & Training: Conduct training sessions, workshops, and code reviews to upskill QA and development team members in performance engineering best practices.

 

Full-Stack Performance Analysis:

Monitor and diagnose bottlenecks across varied architectures, including:

  • Distributed streaming platforms (Kafka)
  • Message queues (IBM MQ / RabbitMQ)
  • Web applications, Microservices, and REST/SOAP APIs

 

Required Technical Skills

  • Testing Tools: Expert-level, hands-on experience with Neo Load for protocol and API-level testing.,
  • APIs & Data: Deep understanding of API testing, HTTP protocols, and custom payload manipulation(JSON, XML, Protocol Buffers).
  • Observability: Advanced proficiency with Dynatrace (APM, log analytics, and dashboard creation).
  • Messaging & Middleware: Hands-on experience testing and tuning event-driven architectures utilizing Kafka and MQ systems.
  • Environments: Experience managing performance testing in hybrid cloud and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes, Azure).

 

Qualifications & Soft Skills

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in performance testing and engineering, with at least 2+ years in an architectural or leadership capacity.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to train, mentor, and foster a culture of continuous learning within a testing team
