Job Description

Erzieher oder Heilerziehungspfleger (m/w/d) | Prien am Chiemsee, Germany | On-site

We are seeking dedicated and qualified professionals for our child and adolescent department at a leading psychosomatic and internationally recognized hospital group in Germany. We specialize in treating patients with a wide range of conditions and are committed to providing state-of-the-art therapy supported by an exceptional team. The Role

  • Organize and structure the daily hospital routine to ensure a smooth process for patients and the team.
  • Engage in co-therapeutic discussions, building upon individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Provide crisis intervention as the first point of contact in acute situations.
  • Lead therapy groups focused on topics such as relaxation techniques, mindfulness, social skills, and coping strategies.
  • Support patients during meals, assisting them in developing a healthy relationship with food, particularly for those with eating disorders.
  • Participate in shift work to ensure continuous patient care and support.

What You'll Need

  • Completed vocational training as an Erzieher (Educator) or Heilerziehungspfleger (Special Needs Educator).
  • Ideally, experience in psychosomatics/psychiatry or in residential group settings for individuals with special needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for working with young people.
  • A respectful, professional, and empathetic approach towards patients and their families.
  • A keen interest in continuous learning and professional development.
