We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Chief Desktop Architect to join our Workplace Technology Desktop Engineering team. This role is in Pittsburgh, PA, Lake Mary, FL.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Define and execute the long-term vision for BNY's end-user computing environment, including desktop, laptop, virtual workplace, cloud PC, and endpoint management platforms leveraging technologies such as Microsoft Intune, MEM/SCCM, Group Policy, Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and strategic partnerships with Microsoft and Dell.  
• Provide enterprise architectural oversight for platform modernization, resiliency, innovation, and future-state workplace technology strategy, establishing architecture standards, governance, and roadmaps across physical and virtual endpoint platforms while driving cloud-native and modern management adoption. 
• Drive architectural direction for vulnerability management, system hardening, lifecycle planning, disaster recovery readiness, and technology risk reduction, ensuring secure, compliant, recoverable, and resilient endpoint services through alignment with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and operational risk objectives. 
• Shape BNY's future AI endpoint strategy, including local execution of AI workloads, AI-capable devices, edge computing, on-device inferencing, and next-generation endpoint architectures leveraging emerging technologies from Microsoft, Dell, AMD, Intel, and other strategic partners. 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred
• 12-15 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
• 12-15 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, desktop engineering, workplace technology, endpoint management, virtualization, cloud platforms, or enterprise architecture; experience in securities or financial services is a plus.
• Deep technical expertise with Microsoft Intune, MEM/SCCM, Windows 11, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, endpoint security, and modern desktop management.
• Strong strategic planning, executive communication, architecture governance, vendor management, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence technology direction across engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and business leadership teams.
