Job Title: SimCorp Dimension UAT Test Lead / Senior Business Analyst (SaaS Migration)
Location: Onsite in Atlanta- GA /Herndon-VA

Position Type: Contract / Permanent

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced SimCorp Dimension Specialist to lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for our migration from an on-premises/ self-hosted environment to the SimCorp SaaS Cloud platform. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain knowledge of SimCorp Dimension workflows, multi-fund accounting structures, and front-to-back asset management operations. You will design, build, and execute comprehensive UAT test cases to ensure seamless data integrity, parallel run validation, and business continuity before go-live.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Strategy & Planning: Define the UAT test scope, acceptance criteria, and execution timelines specifically for the SimCorp SaaS migration.
  • Test Case Development: Design comprehensive UAT test scenarios covering multi-fund setups, investment operations, accounting, and third-party integrations.
  • Data & Position Reconciliation: Lead the validation of the Security Master, live/historical positions, cash balances, and historical NAV calculations between legacy and SaaS environments.
  • End-to-End Workflow Testing: Execute test cases for trade execution, settlement, corporate actions, compliance rules, and automated batch processing.
  • Defect & Triaging Management: Identify, log, and prioritize software configurations, environment issues, or data discrepancies, coordinating directly with SimCorp support and internal IT.
  • Business Liaison: Act as the core bridge between the technical migration team, external SimCorp engineers, and internal business users (portfolio managers, operations, and accounting teams).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • SimCorp Dimension Expertise: Minimum 3–5+ years of hands-on configuration or testing experience with SimCorp Dimension (specifically modules like Portfolio Calculation, Asset Manager, Investment Accounting, or Batch/DFS).
  • Migration Experience: Proven track record participating in a SimCorp upgrade, data migration, or transition to a Cloud/SaaS delivery model.
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of buy-side investment operations, asset management, multi-fund accounting structures, and financial instruments (Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, or Private Markets).
  • Reconciliation Expertise: Advanced skills in data validation, ledger matching, and auditing complex financial datasets.
  • Testing Tooling: Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM) and automated regression testing tools used alongside SimCorp.

This role is a hybrid, but it leans heavily toward a Business Analyst (BA) / Operations kind of resource. In the world of SimCorp Dimension, this is commonly referred to as a Functional or Business Consultant, rather than a technical IT developer.

Why It Leans Toward BA / Ops

  • They test business outcomes: An IT tester checks if code crashes; a SimCorp BA checks if the NAV (Net Asset Value) calculation is correct down to the penny after migration.
  • They understand the market: The resource needs to understand financial instruments, trade lifecycles, and corporate actions.
  • They speak the users' language: They bridge the gap between your portfolio managers/accountants and the underlying system configurations.

What IT/Technical Skills They Do Need

While they aren't writing software code, they still need strong technical data skills, including:

  • Advanced Excel & SQL: To extract data from the legacy system and the new SaaS system to run complex match-and-reconciliation macros.
  • System Configuration: Understanding how SimCorp’s internal logic, batch jobs, and Communication Channels (DFS) move data around.
