Athletic Trainer/DME Coordinator- Ortho MO

• Will be able to demonstrate an ability to perform the following functions regarding athletic injuries: prevention, assessment, treatment, (including first aide) and reconditioning as set forth by the NATA Board of certification.
• Will demonstrate proper taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment.
• Educate patients on proper use, care, and expectations of prescribed equipment
• Document all patient interactions, fittings, and charges accurately in the EMR
• Coordinate DME needs for surgical cases across all providers
• Obtain insurance authorizations when required
• Ensure accurate charge entry and assist with billing coordination
• Maintain inventory levels, including ordering, tracking, and reconciliation
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain necessary equipment and resolve supply issues
• Maintain working knowledge of DME products, orthopedic protocols, and medical terminology
• Will maintain NATA and CPR certification in accordance with those respective institutions.
• Will work exclusively in the clinic setting as designated by physician supervisor and practice leadership
• Adhere to all clinical, regulatory, and compliance standards

Education: 

• Required:  Bachelor's degree in health-related field

Experience: 

• Required: Minimum of 1 year working in a training capacity in a competitive athletic setting.

• Preferred: 1 year experience in orthopedic setting.
  

Certifications: 

• Required: Certified by the Board of Certification of the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification.

• AHA BLS.
