Job Description

Cura of Le Sueur is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager (RN) to join our leadership team. The Nurse Manager supports the oversight of nursing operations and helps ensure delivery of high-quality resident-centered care in our skilled nursing environment.

This position partners closely with the Director of Nursing, Administrator, interdisciplinary team members, residents, families, and providers to promote clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, staff engagement, and positive resident outcomes.

This is an opportunity for a nurse leader who enjoys balancing clinical oversight, staff support, operations, and quality improvement while helping shape a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day nursing operations and clinical workflows
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor nursing staff
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management of nursing employees
  • Coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharge processes with interdisciplinary teams
  • Monitor documentation practices and support clinical compliance initiatives
  • Participate in QAPI, infection prevention, and quality improvement activities
  • Collaborate with providers, therapy, MDS, social services, and other departments to coordinate care
  • Support investigation and follow-up of resident concerns, grievances, incidents, and allegations as needed
  • Assist with survey readiness and implementation of corrective actions and plans of correction
  • Promote safe staffing practices and support scheduling workflows
  • Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care

Requirements

  • Current and active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Working every other weekend
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Previous leadership experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, rehab, or post-acute care preferred
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal healthcare regulations and survey processes
  • Experience supporting quality improvement and clinical compliance initiatives preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively lead and motivate clinical teams
  • Experience with EMR systems; PointClickCare experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment
