IT Project Manager

Your new company Hays are currently partnering with a Higher Education client to recruit a skilled ICT Project Manager for a short-term engagement. This opportunity is ideal for a delivery-focused professional who can quickly integrate into an active environment and lead end-to-end project outcomes across multiple workstreams.

Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering interrelated initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader program objectives. You will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to maintain project momentum and deliver high-quality outcomes within defined timelines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading end-to-end delivery of project initiatives in line with program goals
• Coordinating multiple, interdependent workstreams and managing cross-functional dependencies
• Developing detailed project plans, including scope, milestones, timelines and risk management frameworks
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring delivery is on time and within budget
• Partnering with Change Managers and Communications leads to support successful adoption and transition
• Leading diverse, cross-functional teams including business leads, analysts, IT teams and stakeholders
• Communicating project status, updates and risks through regular reporting and stakeholder engagement
• Producing high-quality project documentation and deliverables

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 5+ years' experience in IT Project Management
• Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple dependencies
• Strong leadership capability with the ability to bring together diverse stakeholder groups
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
