About the Role:MEC NT are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager - Communications to lead the successful delivery of communications and technology infrastructure projects across Northern Australia.
This is a senior position combining project leadership, technical expertise and commercial responsibility across Defence, Government, industrial and critical infrastructure projects.
You'll be responsible for managing projects from award through to completion, while providing technical leadership and building strong relationships with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.
What you'll be doing:- Managing communications and technology projects to completion
- Planning and coordinating labour, subcontractors and suppliers
- Managing project budgets and forecasting
- Identifying and managing project risks
- Delivering projects safely, on time and within budget
- Managing client and stakeholder relationships
- Coordinating procurement and long-lead equipment
- Managing testing, commissioning and handover activities
- Reviewing technical documentation and designs
- Mentoring and supporting Communications personnel
- Structured cabling systems
- Defence communications infrastructure
- CCTV and security systems
- Access control systems
- Network infrastructure
- Government and critical infrastructure projects
- Integrated technology systems
- Defence clearance or able to obtain
- Demonstrated communications or technology project management experience
- Strong technical understanding of communications infrastructure
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Strong commercial and financial awareness
- The ability to lead teams and drive outcomes
- ACMA Registration, Fibre Endorsements and Defence project experience will be highly regarded.
- Immediate start (rate is dependent on experience)
