Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Associate Test Engineer for a role in a high-pressure production environment. This position involves performing electronic sub-assembly and camera builds for semiconductor equipment. The ideal candidate will be a recent Electrical Engineering graduate or a professional with a stable work history who is trainable, coachable, and eager to learn in a precision-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
Education: A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required. A Master's degree is also acceptable.
Experience: Must have component-level testing and troubleshooting experience. Candidates should possess a strong understanding of electronic circuitry and be able to read complex schematics.
Technical Skills: Experience with hands-on electronics troubleshooting, PCB test procedures (voltage, functional test), and diagnostic tools is required.
Work Requirements: Must have schedule flexibility with a willingness to work overtime, weekends, and day or swing shifts as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
This role operates within a lab environment that requires a lab coat and hairnet. The work involves handling components that can be costly, requiring precision and strong diagnostic skills. Standard lifting requirements are typically under 25 lbs, with a two-person lift required for items over 40 lbs per safety policy.

- Build and test cameras and printed circuit board assemblies in a production environment.
- Perform component-level testing and troubleshooting on electronic assemblies to isolate failed components.
- Conduct voltage tests and functional board testing on PCBs from suppliers.
- Apply FPGA programming and perform light electronic assembly and mechanical enclosure work.
- Integrate multiple boards into larger assemblies.
- Update technical documentation to ensure repeatable manufacturing processes.
- Work with engineering teams on new product introduction (NPI) to bring new products to manufacturing.
- Maintain and work on test fixtures as needed.
