Registered Veterinary Nurse

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Forest Lodge Vets on a full-time basis. Part time applications will also be considered.

Our team is made up of 1 full-time and 5 part-time vets, along with 6 dedicated nurses (2 full-time and 4 part-time nurses). Additionally, we have 2 full-time VCAs, who all work together to provide exceptional care. We foster a supportive and collaborative environment, where every team member plays a vital role in delivering the highest standards of animal care.

We are proud to have a highly skilled and experienced nursing team. As a training practice, we value candidates with an interest in coaching, though this is not a requirement. As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. 

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. 

*Inpatient care for hospitalised and day patients

*Performing general anaesthetics

*Lab duties 

*Dispensing medication 

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring: 

* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS 

* Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing 

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues 

* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively 

* A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
