Financial Controller

Tube Investments of India Limited (TIIL), a flagship Murugappa Group company, has acquired a 67% stake in KCAL, making it a subsidiary of TII.

KCAL operates its manufacturing facility in Thiruttani, Tamil Nadu, with an installed production capacity of approximately 680 tonnes per month. With an annual turnover of approximately 200 crore and a workforce of around 234 employees, KCAL has established itself as a key player in the automotive HVAC component segment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic 'Head of Finance/ Senior Manager Finance' to lead the Finance function for this business in Thiruttani. This role is responsible for complete financial governance, including financial planning & analysis, accounting, statutory compliance, budgeting, treasury, taxation, audit, and business partnering. The ideal candidate will ensure robust financial control, drive profitability improvements, and provide strategic insights to support management decision-making and long term business growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership

• Provide strategic financial direction to support business growth, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Lead the finance team across accounting, FP&A, costing, treasury, and compliance.
• Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and governance frameworks.

2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & FP&A

• Lead budgeting, monthly forecasting, and long range financial planning.
• Conduct detailed P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and variance analysis.
• Provide actionable insights to management through MIS and business review presentations.
• Partner with manufacturing, procurement, operations, and sales to understand cost drivers and business performance.

3. Controllership & Accounting

• Oversee all accounting operations, month/Quarter closing, reconciliations, and ledger accuracy.
• Ensure timely preparation of financial statements as per Ind AS accounting standards.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow, receivables, payables, and inventory controls.

4. Statutory Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure full compliance with the Companies Act, GST, Income Tax, and all other statutory requirements.
• Oversee GST returns, TDS, income tax filings, and statutory reporting.
• Liaise with auditors (statutory, internal, tax) and ensure timely closure of audits.
• Maintain compliance calendars and ensure timely filings and renewals.

5. Costing & Profitability Management

• Lead costing, cost sheet preparation, overhead absorption, and margin analysis.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing, supply chain, and overheads.
• Support Capex evaluation, ROI analysis, and productivity improvement projects.

6. Treasury, Banking & Cash Flow Management

• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, working capital limits, on Fund Based limits and fund flows.
• Optimize cash flow, manage interest costs, and improve liquidity planning.
• Oversee payments, vendor terms, hedging and risk management.

7. Strategic Business Support

• Support strategic decisions on new product introduction (NPI), expansion projects, pricing, and capital structure.
• Lead financial evaluation for make-vs-buy, outsourcing, investment decisions, and feasibility studies.
• Drive ERP/system implementations and digital finance initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• CA/CMA with 4-5 years of experience in manufacturing sector or Large audit firm.
• Strong expertise in accounting, finance operations, FP&A, costing, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in financial modelling, Excel, Oracle ERP systems and management reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem solving, and business partnering skills.
