We are seeking an innovative and strategic AI Product Owner to lead the development of cutting-edge AI/ML products, including conversational AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). As the AI Product Owner, you will own the product roadmap, manage backlogs, and define requirements for AI initiatives that deliver real value. Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and business teams in a fast-paced, Agile setting, ensuring that solutions meet quality standards and success metrics. Your expertise will help steer our AI projects, with a flexible work schedule of three days onsite per week.

Duration: 6 + months
Start Date: ASAP 
Location: New York City, NY - Hybrid 3 days/ office
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI/ML products, including conversational and LLM-based solutions
• Manage product backlog, write detailed user stories, and define acceptance criteria
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and business stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery
• Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies and facilitate effective communication across teams
• Identify and establish success metrics, evaluate AI models, and ensure quality and performance standards are met
• Define requirements, prioritize features, and make trade-offs to balance scope, schedule, and resources
• Stay informed about emerging AI technologies and industry trends to continuously improve product offerings
• Collaborate with evaluation teams to analyze data and optimize ROI for AI initiatives

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in product management for AI/ML or GenAI products, especially conversational AI or LLM-based solutions
• Strong understanding of requirements analysis, ROI optimization, and developing product roadmaps
• Ability to write user stories and acceptance criteria
• Experience running Agile/Scrum ceremonies
• Excellent stakeholder coordination skills
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, Vertex AI, CCAI, or comparable cloud AI platforms
• Analytical skills to define success metrics and evaluate AI models

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in healthcare or other regulated industries
• Additional knowledge of AI evaluation and quality data
• Certifications in Agile or Product Management

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
• 3+ years of product management experience, especially within AI or cloud-based platforms
• Demonstrated success in managing AI or software products from concept to deployment

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work onsite three days a week
• Strong understanding of AI platforms like Google Cloud Platform / Vertex AI / CCAI is a plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities
