Project Coordinator

Location: Royal Victoria Docks, London E16
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Reporting to: Project Manager

About the Role

An established construction business is seeking a highly organised Project Coordinator to support the delivery of multiple construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to build a long-term career within the construction sector while working closely with a Project Manager and wider project teams.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring project information, documentation and administrative processes are maintained accurately and efficiently. You will be responsible for coordinating project records, managing document systems, maintaining filing structures and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager and wider project team.
  • Maintain project documentation, records and correspondence.
  • Manage electronic filing systems, ensuring documents are accurately stored and easy to retrieve.
  • Upload, update and track project documentation through SharePoint and company CRM systems.
  • Maintain document registers and ensure records remain up to date.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing project information from contractors, consultants and suppliers.
  • Organise project folders and maintain structured filing systems.
  • Prepare meeting packs, agendas and project documentation.
  • Take meeting notes and distribute actions where required.
  • Monitor outstanding information and follow up with relevant stakeholders.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, spreadsheets and project updates.
  • Support tender and procurement administration activities.
  • Ensure confidential information is stored and managed appropriately.
  • Help improve administrative processes and document management procedures.

Required Experience

  • 3-4 years' administration, project support or coordination experience.
  • Previous experience working within the construction, property or engineering sectors.
  • Experience using CRM systems and document management platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint or similar document control systems.
  • Experience managing complex electronic filing structures.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience supporting construction projects.
  • Exposure to document control processes.
  • Experience coordinating information between multiple stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of project administration or project coordination duties.
  • Understanding of construction terminology and project documentation.
