Team Leader, Seafood

As Seafood Team Leader at Market District, you'll oversee a premium seafood department focused on freshness, food safety, and exceptional guest service. You will lead, schedule, and train team members; maintain product quality, rotation, and merchandising standards; and ensure compliance with sanitation and labeling regulations. Partner with culinary teams to highlight specialty items, manage ordering and inventory, and minimize shrink. You will resolve guest issues, drive sales through impactful displays and suggestive selling, and cultivate a collaborative, food-focused culture aligned with Market District's commitment to quality and community.

Responsibilities

• Lead, schedule, and coach seafood department team members
• Ensure adherence to food safety, sanitation, and labeling standards
• Oversee seafood quality, rotation, and freshness standards
• Manage ordering, inventory levels, and shrink control
• Design and maintain attractive merchandising and product displays
• Provide knowledgeable, friendly customer service and resolve issues
• Collaborate with culinary and store leadership on promotions and specials
• Train staff on seafood handling, preparation, and customer engagement
• Monitor sales, waste, and department KPIs to meet targets
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
