Contract: Full time, Permanent

Our client is a growing water treatment specialist.

They're looking for a Field Service Engineer to cover the Glasgow area, joining an established team of engineers across Scotland and England.

If you've worked with water systems and want a role with a company van, a four-day week and a package that improves after probation, this could suit you.

The package

  • £38,000, rising to £40,000 once you pass probation
  • Company van
  • Death in service and income protection
  • Monday to Thursday working week in the main
  • Home-based, covering customer sites in your area, with room to grow as the business expands

About the Field Service Engineer (Water Treatment) role:

  • Install, commission, test and maintain water treatment equipment on customer sites
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits to schedule
  • Carry out chemical top-ups, cleans and disinfections, where trained
  • Take water samples for lab analysis and calibrate sensors and control systems using analytical instruments
  • Respond to customer technical queries and give on-site guidance and training
  • Audit customer sites for health and safety and flag any issues
  • Keep your van and stock well maintained so you can respond to service calls
  • Build strong relationships with customers

About you

  • Hands-on experience with water, such as water treatment, plumbing, pumps, boilers or water hygiene (Legionella), or similar field service or maintenance work
  • Basic knowledge of pipework and/or electrics
  • Clear understanding of health and safety, including the safe handling of chemicals
  • Good problem-solving skills and a sound eye for detail
  • Comfortable with IT, and able to manage your own workload and a busy diary
  • Professional and confident with customers on site
  • Knowledge of chlorine dioxide chemicals is useful but not essential
  • Full UK driving licence

Not a water treatment specialist If you've worked on water systems in another field, we'd still like to hear from you. Full training is provided!
