We're supporting a major public sector digital transformation programme and are looking for an experienced Product Manager to join a high-performing Agile delivery team. The role is primarily remote with occasional travel to Newcastle (approximately once per month for two days).

The Role

As Product Manager, you'll take ownership of product vision, roadmap and backlog management, ensuring delivery teams are focused on providing measurable value to users and stakeholders. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams throughout the product lifecycle, from discovery through to live service and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and prioritise the product backlog.
  • Lead discovery activities to identify user needs and potential solutions.
  • Prioritise user stories and support Agile delivery teams.
  • Collaborate with technical, design and content specialists.
  • Manage dependencies, risks and stakeholder expectations.
  • Champion user-centred design, accessibility and service outcomes.
  • Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement using KPIs and insights.

Required Experience

  • Strong experience as a Product Manager within Agile delivery environments.
  • Proven experience managing product backlogs and roadmaps.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary digital teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to balance user needs, business objectives and delivery constraints.
  • Public sector and digital transformation experience would be highly advantageous.

If you're an experienced Product Manager with a track record of delivering user-focused digital services, we'd love to hear from you.
