Job description

About Team Liquid

Team Liquid began as a StarCraft clan in 2000 and grew into a global esports and gaming organization. At our heart, we're still a community of people who love competitive gaming.

Our main quest is to forge a global fandom that celebrates creativity, mastery and kindness.

Across our teams, creators, content and Liquipedia, we bring people closer to the games they love. That takes colleagues with different skills, perspectives and backgrounds, working together across countries and disciplines.

Joining Team Liquid means helping shape what comes next. We value people who take ownership, stay curious and support those around them, and who care about how we succeed together.

About the Team

Brand, Marketing & Content brings Team Liquid’s teams, players, and stories closer to fans around the world. The team works across social media, content, creative, and production to create engaging experiences that strengthen the connection between Team Liquid and its global community.

For League of Legends, that means staying close to the team, understanding the competitive ecosystem and its fans, and turning the moments that happen around players, tournaments, and competition into content that resonates with the community.

The Role

As the Senior Integrated Game Producer for League of Legends, you’ll help connect Team Liquid’s players and competitive team with our fans around the world through social-first content and storytelling.

You’ll work closely with players, coaches, and internal teams to identify and capture the moments, personalities, and storylines that matter to our community. From tournaments and match days to behind-the-scenes moments and player-focused content, you’ll create, edit, and publish content across Team Liquid’s game-specific social channels.

This is a hands-on role that combines content production, social media, and coordination. You’ll manage content calendars and channel execution, coordinate freelance contributors, support sponsored content, and use performance insights to continuously improve what we create. You’ll also work closely with the competitive team throughout the season, with regular international travel to tournaments, bootcamps, and other team events.

What You'll Own

  • Integrated Content Creation & Production Leadership

    • Drive the development of innovative, social-first creative concepts that resonate with esports and gaming audiences, ensuring alignment with Team Liquid’s brand voice, cultural tone, and fandom growth objectives.

    • Build strong working relationships with players, coaches, support staff, and other departments to create authentic narratives that deepen fan connection.

    • Oversee and execute high-quality filming and editing of vertical and horizontal content optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, Facebook, and X, maintaining the highest creative and technical standards.

    • Lead the capture of behind-the-scenes moments, match-day content, player features, hype clips, content editing, and event photography to bring fans closer to the action, often coordinating small project teams.

    • Identify, hire, and manage freelancers or external contributors as needed to support content creation and delivery.

  • Channel Ownership

    • Own the tracking of platform-specific KPIs (reach, engagement, engagement rate, follower growth, views) and refine strategies based on performance insights.

    • Manage the content calendar for assigned game-specific social accounts across X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Bluesky, Discord, and Reddit.

    • Lead platform-optimized publishing of content with strong copywriting, strategy, and visual presentation.

  • Fan Engagement

    • Develop compelling storylines that highlight player personalities, competitive moments, and team experiences to strengthen fan engagement.

    • Take ownership of high-context messaging (roster moves, major wins/losses, sensitive topics).

  • Process Management & Cross-Functional Coordination

    • Lead alignment between social, design, and production teams, and coordinate with other departments to ensure all content is on-brand, on-brief, and delivered on schedule.

    • Own coordination with team staff, coaches, and players to capture key moments at optimal times.

    • Manage approvals and clearance with league/tournament staff and partners to ensure timely and compliant content delivery.

    • Own the creation and integration of assigned sponsored content across social channels, while providing creative input and support on broader partnership content as needed.

    • Manage assigned budgets, ensuring effective allocation of resources and accurate tracking of expenses.

  • Performance & Improvement

    • Drive regular analysis of social performance data to identify audience preferences and optimization opportunities.

    • Lead creative testing and iteration based on insights, adjusting posting frequency, timing, and style to maximize KPIs.

    • Own the preparation and delivery of actionable performance reports to inform broader content and social strategies.

  • Technical & Creative Innovation

    • Drive exploration of social media trends, esports storytelling innovations, and emerging production tools.

    • Explore and apply approved AI tools to support content ideation, production planning, creative workflows, and production efficiency.

    • Develop creative and technical solutions that enhance content quality, production efficiency, and fan engagement, and share these innovations across departments.

AI Fluency at Team Liquid

Using AI thoughtfully is an expectation across Team Liquid, including in non-technical roles. We’re looking for people who explore how these tools can improve their work, test ideas and share what they learn with their teams.

In this role, that could include:

  • Using approved AI tools to support content ideation, production planning, and creative workflows.

  • Using AI to analyze social media performance, identify audience and content trends, and surface opportunities to improve content.

  • Exploring ways to improve content and production workflows while protecting confidential company, player, and partner information.

You don’t need to be an AI expert on day one. We do expect a willingness to learn, experiment and build confidence. Just as important is knowing how to check outputs, protect confidential information and recognize when human judgment is essential.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. Candidates must be available to work onsite at our office at least three days per week.

What You Bring

You have:

  • 3-6 years of experience in social media, content production, digital media, esports, gaming, sports, or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of League of Legends, its game, community, culture, and competitive ecosystem.

  • A social-first mindset with a strong understanding of content formats, trends, audiences, and best practices across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and X.

  • Hands-on experience creating social content, including filming and editing both vertical and horizontal video.

  • Strong creative instincts and the ability to identify compelling stories, moments, and content opportunities around players, competition, and gaming culture.

  • Ability to work comfortably with players, talent, coaches, and other stakeholders and translate their personalities and experiences into authentic content.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Understanding of social media performance metrics and the ability to use data and audience insights to improve content.

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis, including to tournaments, bootcamps, and other team events.

  • Valid passport or ability to obtain and maintain one for international travel.

  • Experience briefing and coordinating freelance creatives, with the ability to manage multiple contributors, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to provide clear creative direction and actionable feedback to editors, designers, and social media contributors.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Previous professional experience within the League of Legends competitive scene, esports, or gaming industry.

  • Deep familiarity with the League of Legends ecosystem, including its teams, players, tournaments, storylines, community, and online culture.

  • Experience producing content around live sporting or esports events, including fast-turnaround match-day and behind-the-scenes content.

  • Experience working directly with professional players, creators, influencers, or other on-camera talent.

  • Photography experience and familiarity with professional camera and audio equipment.

  • Advanced proficiency with video editing and creative production tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, or similar software.

  • Experience managing game-, team-, or brand-specific social media channels and content calendars.

  • Experience working with branded or sponsored content and integrating commercial partners naturally into social-first creative.

  • Familiarity with additional community platforms such as Discord, Reddit, and Bluesky.
