Household Appliance Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Appliance Technician with 3–4 years of hands-on experience servicing and repairing residential appliances. The ideal candidate should be confident diagnosing and resolving appliance issues independently, communicating professionally with customers, and managing multiple service calls throughout the day.

Compensation & Requirements

• Pay: $35-$43 per completed service visit

• Workload: Approximately 6–8 pre-booked service visits per day

• Own tools and reliable vehicle required

• Valid G Driver’s License with a clean driving abstract required

• Gas mileage reimbursement provided based on applicable government rates

• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of residential appliances, including refrigerators, ovens, ranges, dishwashers, washing machines, and dryers.

• Perform appliance installations, replacements, troubleshooting, and service calls.

• Independently identify electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other appliance-related issues and determine appropriate repairs.

• Use diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to identify the root cause of equipment problems.

• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

• Communicate clearly with customers regarding appliance issues, required repairs, and service recommendations.

• Provide professional and courteous customer service at every visit.

• Maintain accurate service reports, paperwork, and records for completed jobs.

• Identify required parts and coordinate part orders or replacements when necessary.

• Maintain an organized and properly stocked work vehicle and ensure tools and equipment are kept in good condition.

• Follow all applicable safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.

• Manage multiple scheduled appointments throughout the day while maintaining punctuality and reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience repairing and servicing residential appliances.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Good working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems related to household appliances.

• Experience working directly with customers in a residential service environment.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to manage multiple pre-booked service calls and prioritize work effectively.

• Must have own tools and reliable vehicle.

• Must hold a valid G Driver’s Licence with a clean driving abstract.

• Reliable, professional, punctual, and comfortable working independently in the field.
