🚀 Senior Java Backend Engineer ( U.S Citizen Only)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Java Backend Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting production-grade backend systems in an EMOS environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and REST APIs.

 Key Responsibilities

• Develop scalable backend services using Java & Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain gRPC services using Protocol Buffers (protobuf).
• Design and develop production-grade REST APIs.
• Implement REST-to-gRPC integration using gRPC-Gateway, transcoding, or custom mapping layers.
• Define and maintain API contracts using OpenAPI / Swagger.
• Implement secure OAuth2 / JWT authentication and authorization.
• Design data/domain models using protobuf, JSON Schema, or entity models.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with EMOS, Software, Platform, QA, and Engineering teams.
• Support scalable backend services throughout the development and production lifecycle.
• Contribute to Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives when needed.

 Required Skills

• 5+ years of Java backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on Spring Boot experience.
• Experience building gRPC services with Protocol Buffers.
• Strong REST API development experience.
• Hands-on REST-to-gRPC integration experience.
• Knowledge of OpenAPI / Swagger.
• Experience with OAuth2 / JWT.
• Strong data and domain modeling skills.
• Experience building and supporting production-grade backend services.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.
