Infrastructure Engineer (BMS) - DV Cleared

Our client is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer (BMS) to support the design, delivery and operation of critical infrastructure within the telecommunications sector. This is a 12-month contract opportunity based in Ipswich or London, working across complex Building Management Systems (BMS), Central Monitoring Systems (CMS), CCTV and wider infrastructure platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecting and delivering next-generation BMS, CMS and CCTV systems<br />Driving automation-first infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible and PowerShell<br />Resolving complex platform challenges across compute, storage and networking<br />Collaborating with engineers, architects and operations teams to deliver end-to-end services<br />Enhancing platform security, resilience, availability and performance at scale<br />Supporting best practice in incident, change and problem management<br />Creating clear, reusable runbooks, engineering standards and operational documentation<br />Identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure delivery and introduce new technologies Job

Requirements:

Experience leading the design, build, commissioning and live operation of complex infrastructure or engineering systems<br />Strong technical knowledge of Building Management Systems, Central Monitoring platforms, CCTV or comparable critical control environments<br />Understanding of high-availability and mission-critical environments where resilience, security and uptime are essential<br />Knowledge of physical and system security principles, including operational risk identification and mitigation<br />Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Ansible or PowerShell<br />Ability to design and integrate complex, multi-vendor systems into scalable and reliable platforms<br />Strong knowledge of networking, security and identity management<br />Clear communication skills, with the ability to work with engineering, security, operations and wider stakeholders Contract Details: 12-month contract<br />Location: Ipswich or London<br />Telecommunications infrastructure environment<br />If you have experience in infrastructure engineering, BMS platforms and automation-led service delivery, apply now for this Infra Engineer opportunity
