About AngelList
Private markets are the new public markets. The most important companies of this era are private, and almost no one can own them. What's missing is the financial system public markets spent a century building: exchanges, custodians, brokers, and ways for ordinary people to buy in. Private markets, now $28T, never had the equivalent. AngelList is building it. The last decade of structural innovation in venture happened here: syndicates, SPVs at scale, Rolling Funds, scout programs. Today we have $200B+ in assets and 30,000+ startups funded on our platform.
The rest of private markets is next. Funds is the software and services behind private funds, Nova is the banking network, Meridian is the wealth platform for accredited investors, and USVC is the brand behind a registered fund that lets anyone invest in venture. Titles are closer to suggestions, and there are about 200 of us building what private markets never had.
About the Role
Nova is AngelList's banking and payments network for private markets. Funds and investors both live on the network, and money (subscriptions, capital calls, distributions) moves between them inside it instead of through wires and PDFs. On top of those rails sits a growing menu of financial products: treasury and yield, credit, and a wealth layer that keeps an investor's capital working from one fund to the next. We're looking for someone to own the economics of that product menu with the autonomy and scope of a division CFO.
Your fingerprints should be visible on which products we build, how they're priced, and how fast they reach the market. This is not a traditional finance role. Success is whether the business makes better decisions, ships the right products, and accelerates revenue. Own the Nova business narrative on financial performance, product economics, and outlook, including mastery of the Nova P&L and revenue model. Own the economics of the financial-product menu (deposits, treasury, payments, credit, and wealth) and bring the point of view on what to build next, how it is priced, and how it makes money.
Drive revenue growth: own target-setting and go-to-market planning for new and existing products, and unlock adoption across every channel from direct GP sales, the Ark / fund-admin cross-sell to the LP surface. Model the unit economics that drive the call (NIM and float, lending spread and risk, referral and take-rate economics, AUM fees), and connect each product to payments volume, balances, and revenue.
8+ years across strategic finance, banking, private markets, or corporate strategy, owning growth planning personally.
The strongest fits come from fintech or neobank strategic finance, private-markets infrastructure, or banking and financial services turned operational.
~ You reason natively in financial-product economics: deposits and float, lending spreads, referral and take-rate economics, AUM fees. You form a clear point of view on what to build next, build conviction across product, GTM, and ops, and carry it to launch with pricing, packaging, and targets. You make senior judgment calls before the data is clean, shape your own mandate, and have a bias to action.
You can distill a complex problem to the handful of points that move the decision, and you communicate it to executives in writing, in person, and in charts.
~ You've built AI into how you work and expect it to reshape how finance operates. Leadership has conviction on which financial product we build next, and why. There's a clear, consistent narrative on financial performance and which growth levers to prioritize. We operate out of hubs in New York City and San Francisco.
For most roles on those teams, we work from the office at least two days per week (Tuesdays and either Wednesday or Thursday). The compensation for this role consists of a competitive base salary, benefits, and equity package. At AngelList, we are united in our purpose to accelerate innovation and build the future of private markets. AngelList is an equal opportunity employer and we value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information. If you would like more information about how your data is processed, please contact us.
