Job Description

Senior Product Owner 

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to lead product strategy, roadmap development, and delivery for complex digital products and platforms. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, customers, engineering teams, UX/UI designers, architects, and leadership to define product vision, prioritize features, and ensure successful product outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate business needs and customer requirements into clear product requirements and user stories.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, customer impact, risks, and technical dependencies.
  • Define acceptance criteria and ensure requirements are clear and actionable for development teams.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, UX/UI, data, and business teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and product demonstrations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and manage expectations.
  • Conduct customer and market research to identify product opportunities and improvement areas.
  • Define and track KPIs, OKRs, and product success metrics.
  • Analyze product performance, customer feedback, and usage data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify risks, dependencies, and impediments and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure products are delivered on time, within scope, and according to quality expectations.
  • Coordinate with multiple teams and manage priorities across complex product initiatives.
  • Support release planning, go-to-market activities, and product adoption initiatives.
  • Communicate product status, roadmap updates, priorities, and business outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Mentor and guide Product Owners and other team members when required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Proven experience managing product roadmaps, backlogs, and end-to-end product delivery.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and modern technology platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience writing user stories, epics, acceptance criteria, and product requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar product management tools.
  • Experience with product analytics and data-driven decision making.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles and customer-centric product development.
  • Experience with APIs, cloud platforms, microservices, and modern application architectures.
  • Experience managing products across multiple teams or business units.
  • Familiarity with SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, or other Agile frameworks.
  • Product management or Agile certifications such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager are a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

12–15+ years of overall experience, with significant experience in product ownership, product management, or technology delivery roles.
