AI Automation Engineer (Copilot and Claude Code )

We are seeking an AI Automation Engineer to join a newly established automation team within the Information Security department. This team is expanding the department's use of AI and is looking for an engineer who can bring an outside perspective, develop new solutions, and help automate manual security processes.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of an Agile engineering team to design, develop, test, and deploy automation solutions for the Information Security department.
• Build applications and automation workflows using AWS, AWS CDK, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate development and improve existing processes.
• Partner with the core automation team and other teams throughout Information Security to identify opportunities for automation.
• Help define technical processes and requirements when solutions are not yet fully established.
• Identify technical risks, roadblocks, and dependencies and communicate them to the team quickly.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous delivery activities.
• Track development work and collaborate with the team through Jira and Agile ceremonies.

Required Qualifications

• 3 6 years of software engineering, automation engineering, DevOps, or related development experience.
• Strong experience with GitHub and modern source-control practices.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of strong software development lifecycle practices.
• Experience developing or deploying solutions within AWS.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and help define processes while developing solutions.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to proactively identify and escalate risks.
• Experience using GitHub Actions.
• Experience with AWS CDK or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or comparable AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience working in Jira and an Agile development environment.
• Previous experience developing automation solutions within an Information Security or cybersecurity environment.
